Sheila Hancock
6th July 2005

At our inaugural event co-produced with Broxbourne Arts, Author of the Year, Sheila Hancock, entertained a full house of more than 470 people with anecdotes and recollections from a long, varied and successful career in film, television and theatre. After a lively audience question and answer session in the second half of the evening Sheila spent another two hours talking and signing copies of her bestselling autobiography The Two of Us which had just been published in paperback by Bloomsbury.

The event was extensively advertised in the local press, received several short previews pieces and appeared in all local events listings. “The 470-strong crowd was held captivated by the 72 year old actress…”  according to a glowing quarter page review which appeared the following week in the Mercury What’s On Magazine which is distributed in all three East Hertfordshire editions of the newspaper.
