Here we feature just a few of the wide range of books we stock about the history and heritage of Hoddesdon, Hertford, Ware and other towns and villages in the Broxbourne and East Herts areas. We also keep titles about the County of Hertfordshire, the Lea Valley area and Enfield. In our shop we keep many titles of local interest which have been privately published by local individuals and community groups and cannot be ordered online or from chain bookshops.

Hoddesdon – A History by Sue Gardside HB £15.99
This is the only book charting the full history of Hoddesdon, a Hertfordshire market town whose roots can be traced back to the Neolithic settlements around the Lea Valley. Although the book is now out of print we can still supply copies while stocks last.
Hoddesdon’s Past in Pictures by David Dent HB £14.95
This book uses the extensive private black and white photographic collections, many of which have never been published before, compiled by local historian David Dent to celebrate the past glories of Hoddesdon and to illustrate the drastic changes this historic market town has undergone in the last hundred and fifty years.
