Meet The Author: The UK’s Only All-Year-Round Book Festival

We are now into the 7th year of our ongoing and hugely popular events programme which has been enjoyed by over 11,000 local people.

New local history book: Hertford Through Time

In partnership with Hertford Museum we've produced a major new history title: Hertford Through Time features 180 'then and now' photographs of our historic County town written by local history experts Councillor Peter Ruffles and Jean Purkis..

The book, priced £14.99 is published on 11th September. There is an official signing at Hertford Museum on Sat th October 11am, and a talk on Tues 15th Nov 8pm.

School author visits and book supply

We work with primary, junior and secondary schools across the whole of East Herts to promote books and reading both within the curriculum and by organising external children’s workshops and book signings.

We bring authors into the classroom, support national book quizzes, organise essay competitions and order books for class use and school libraries.
