After he charmed and surprised the audience with his anecdotes, jokes and singing talents at our sell-out event in 2006 we have been extremely lucky to tempt this multi-talented entertainer back to Broxbourne Civic Hall. For those of you who weren’t able to get tickets for the previous show it will be a rare chance to meet one of our best-loved broadcasters in person, and for those who enjoyed his last visit we’ll be taking the story up where we left off last time talking about how he started his career and worked his way up to become one of the nation’s favourite TV gardeners, presenters and novelists.

We have multi award winning writer whose debut novel Brick Lane was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and subsequently made into a very successful film. She will be at Fletchers Lea, Ware Priory in Ware High Street talking about her exciting new contemporary novel In the Kitchen which opens with a mysterious death in the cellars of a smart, cosmopolitan hotel and over the course of the ensuing pages, peels back the layers of polyglot London to reveal the melting pot which exists below. Having had to postpone the event with him last month due to a family health emergency, one of the UK’s most renowned Mediums will now be at Castle Hall, Hertford on this new date to tell real-life stories that will forever change the way you look at animals to celebrate the publication of his new book The Amazing Power of Animals. The former presenter on Living TV’s Most Haunted, and regular guest of ITV’s This Morning sofa, will talk about how animals really can help us in our day-to-day lives, how healing your animal can heal your own life, and how your animal’s psychic powers can help you make the right life decisions. He will also be answering audience questions and then signing copies of his new book which can be purchased on the evening.

The broadcaster, columnist and author of numerous fiction and non fiction books discusses her latest novel Shadow Child about a couple dealing with the sudden death of their only son. Libby has presented the talk programme Midweek on Radio 4 since 1984 and was formerly one of Today’s team of presenters. She contributes to The Times regularly , in 1999 was named the Granada “What the Papers Say” Columnist of the Year, and has been awarded an O.B.E for services to journalism.
